So Conner is like his mom and gets impatient while waiting for our computer to load, cause it is so SSSSSLLLLLOOOOWWWW. He is constantly trying to push buttons while it is loading, and I always tell him that he has to wait, it's just really slow. I was trying to get him out of the house yesterday to go to town and told him to hurry up. He laid down on the floor and proceeded to "army crawl" very slowly across the floor and said "I am loading momma, I will be right there." Some of the silly stuff that kid comes up with really cracks me up! :0)

Naples City Park

It was really nice last week, so momma and I went down to Vernal to play with our friends at the Naples City Park. The city put in new equipment recently, and it was so much fun to explore all of the new stuff!
I really miss my friend Gage, and was able to play a lot with him that day. We are best buddies! He came up to see me and my new house, and we had a lot of fun!

Silly Pictures & Misc. Updates

Mom hasn't been taking as many pictures of me lately, mostly because I get really cranky when she does try to take any. :0) Momma and I were hanging out at our house the other day, and we were messing around with the camera. Momma took some pictures of my funny faces, and I even got one of her!
My life has been pretty crazy lately. My momma and I moved up on the mountain back in July and we lived with Grandma & Grandpa Hazel until January. Momma and I then moved into our own house in January. I love our new house, mainly because I have my own bedroom and bathroom, and they are both done in Lightning McQueen. My FAVORITE!!!
I spend most of my weekends with my Papa in Vernal. We have been having fun going catfishing lately. He sets up a tent upstairs for me and I have a lot of fun playing in that. I also have a cute little puppy named Jet that is so excited to see me everytime I come to visit!
My momma works at the Flaming Gorge Resort. I like to help her fill the creamers and the sugar packets while I am waiting for Grandma to get off of work so I can go to her house and play. Grandma & Grandpa Hazel take care of me while momma is working, and we have SO MUCH FUN!!!

Antelope Flats

Mommy, Grandma & Grandpa Hazel and I went down to Antelope Flats a little while ago to get out of the house and have some fun. The lake was frozen over by the docks, but it made for a fun game of "rock bowling!"

Momma and I took our friends Miss Carrie, Parker, Owen, & Zoe around Flaming Gorge today. We went to Red Canyon to feed the ducks and the fish, went to the visitors center at the overlook, and went on a dam tour. We had so much fun!

I had my new friend Max over the other day for a playdate. Momma set my swimming pool up for us, and we had so much fun! When Grandma got home from work, Max and I thought it would be funny to get her soaking wet. Poor Grandma!

Rafting The Green River

Grandma, Grandpa, Great Grandma Judy, Momma and I rafted down the Green River last week. We started out below the dam, and floated all the way down to Little Hole. I really liked the rapids, especially when Grandma & Great Grandma were screaming cause they got wet!

Grandma & Grandpa Hazel took me to IFA a week or so ago. They had these cute little bunnies there. I really wanted to hold one, but there was a sign that said "DO NOT HOLD THE BUNNIES". Bummer....

Playdate at Miss Carrie's House

Today I had a play date at Miss Carrie's house. We jumped on the tramp, played in the water, played with all of Parker, Owen, and Zoe's toys, and had yummy treats! This was all after we had a play date at the water fountains this morning and then went to school lunch with Addison, Aiden, Avery, Parker, Owen, & Zoe. I came home and passed out from exhaustion on the couch after my fun filled day!

After our lunch date, momma and I decided it was just WAY TOO HOT and got out my swimming pool and pulled out the sprinkler. I kept dunking my head and laughing hysterically and screaming "I'm leaking!"

We had a lunch date at Miss Deb's house, and Miss Abby and Wyatt came to play too. We ate lunch, and then played on Miss Deb's back deck for a little bit until it got to hot for us. Then we went inside and wrestled with Miss Deb. She's so much fun!

Grandma & Grandpa Hazel came down the mountain to visit me this afternoon. They took Mommy and me to lunch at Wendy's, we went to IFA & Wal-Mart, and then we went over to the park to play. Grandpa helped me with the monkey bars, and even went down the slide with me. He's so much fun to play with!

4th of July

Momma, Papa, and I had such a great 4th of July! We went to the parade in the morning and watched a bunch of cool floats! They took me to the park to play while we waited for the fireworks, and then when they were over, we came home and lit some more in the driveway. I LOVE fireworks!

4th of July celebration at Flaming Gorge

Momma, Papa, & I went to the 4th of July celebration at Flaming Gorge Resort today. They had lots of fun activities to do there. They had a petting zoo, a wagon ride, a big inflatable slide, horse rides, a car show, and lots of food! My favorite part was riding the mule and going down the slide. I also liked the wagon ride with Great Grandma. Great Grandma also took me for a spin in her nifty little golf cart. It was so much fun!

Camping Trip to Strawberry Reservoir

Momma and I went camping over the past couple of days with Grandma & Grandpa Hazel down at Strawberry Reservoir. Great Grandma Judy, Aunt Nat and Uncle Jason came along with us to enjoy the great outdoors too!
We camped out at the Sage campground down by the reservoir and had a really great time! We rented a pontoon boat on Monday, and we were able to see a lot more of the lake, and did a little bit of fishing. We only caught one fish, but I sure enjoyed reeling it in with Grandpa!
It sure was nice to get away for a little bit and spend some time with all of our family. We are very grateful to Grandma & Grandpa Hazel for setting up this trip and making it possible for all of us to spend time together! We love you!

Dry Fork Canyon

Momma and I have both been feeling sick and had been cooped up in the house for WAY TOO LONG, so yesterday we decided to take a trip up Dry Fork Canyon to get some fresh mountain air, hoping that would make us feel better. We made a couple of stops along the way and had a pretty good time! Hopefully we'll both be feeling better soon so we can play with our buddies again.....

This is Brownie Creek. Momma stopped so that I could look at the pretty falls and throw in some more rocks. Throwing rocks is one of my favorite things to do!

This past winter Papa & I went ice fishing alot. We would go up to Steinaker most of the time, but we ended up taking a trip to Red Fleet and a trip up to Flaming Gorge as well. I LOVE fishing, and I LOVE spending time with my papa!

Momma and I went with our good friends Deb & Hayden to "hike & seek" (that's what I kept referring to our day as) to the Red Fleet Dinosaur Trackway Trail today. It was such a great hike, and we saw lots of different plants and rocks. We were not able to see the tracks at the end of our hike due to the water level, but we still had a great time! The hike was 1.5 miles one way, and I ended up walking the WHOLE way! My momma and Miss Deb were so proud of me! They kept telling me how awesome I was doing!

Momma took me up to Grandma & Grandpa Hazel's camp this afternoon. Grandpa took me for a ride of the 4-wheeler, I helped him build a campfire, and I helped make some yummy dinner. We also played a game of horseshoes.

On the way home, momma & I saw a couple of bucks off the side of the road that were pretty cool to look at.

Just Another Ouray Road Trip....

Papa & Momma took me back out to the Ouray Bird Refuge this morning to see if we could drive around the back of the refuge and avoid all of the flooding. We stopped in a spot that had all of these cool sunflowers in it. I loved to run and play in them!

Track & Field Day

Today the Vernal MOMS Playgroup had a track & field day. It was so much fun! Miss Carrie set up a couple different events for us, including the 50 meter & 100 meter dash, the long jump, javelin throw, and the shotput. Miss Kayla & Miss Jeanne brought us some tasty treats too!

This is the fat lip that I got after I tripped and fell onto the track. It hurt pretty bad, but it didn't stop me from having fun!

Road Trip

Today Momma and I went with our good friends Abby & Wyatt, Deb & Hayden, & Jen & Addie on a fun road trip. We stopped at the Pelican Lake Cafe to eat lunch, and then we drove on to the fish hatchery.

Wyatt and I ran around and looked at all the cool stuff inside of the fish hatchery building. The tour guide took out one of the razorback chubs and I even touched it! My little buddy Hayden isn't walking yet, but his momma took him around to show him all of the cool fish.

Splash Park

Today Momma & I went to the splash park in Naples to play with my buddies. We got there a little bit early, so momma played with me until my buddies got there. We had a lot of fun running through all of the fountains and showers, and we filled up our squirt guns and had a fun water fight too!

Vernal MOMS Playgroup 1st Birthday Party

My playgroup had their 1st birthday party celebration at Remember the Maine Park on Saturday. I was able to play with all of my buddies, and eat some yummy treats! My favorite was the superman ice cream that Miss Sam brought. Zoe and I sat and ate our ice cream together while we watched everybody play.

My friend Addison and I hung out by the fire and watched our buddies roasting marshmallows.

Zoe and I also sat by the fire and shared some funny jokes! We had some good times!

My Fun Day With Grandma & Grandpa Hazel

Momma and I spent the day with Grandma & Grandpa Hazel. We took a road trip up to Spirit Lake, and then came back down to the cabin and fed some nearby horses some yummy apples. Grandma & Grandpa cooked us a yummy steak dinner too! Even though the weather was pretty yucky today with all the rain and snow, we still had fun spending time on the mountain with them. Thanks Grandpa & Grandma!

Jones Hole Fish Hatchery

Today Momma & I went with the Vernal MOMS Playgroup for a field trip out to Jones Hole Fish Hatchery. Even though there were TONS of bugs, and a threat of thunderstorms, we had a great time! My buddies and I were able to watch the fish being loaded into a truck to be transported into a lake. That was pretty interesting to watch. I was able to feed the fish and throw rocks in the creek, so I had a really fun time!

Today Momma & Papa took me over to a place called Pole Creek Sink. The ride over was pretty bumpy, and it rained most of the way there, but it sure was neat to look at once we got there! I couldn't really hike around a lot because it was really muddy from all of the rain, but mom took some good pics of the falls and the sink itself. There were some cool caves down below too that I would have liked to climb
in. We also stopped on the way home to make a campfire and roast some hotdogs. It was a fun day!

Today Mommy & I went with Grandma & Grandpa Hazel and Great Grandma Judy to Rock Creek. It sure was pretty up there at the dude ranch. I saw a cute little squirrel, but he didn't want to play with me! I got to check out a bunch of cabins, see some horses, played with a puppy, swung at the bed & breakfast, and had dinner at the Hollow Moon Cafe in Myton. I had a really long day, but is sure was fun!

My Idaho Trip

Mommy and I took a trip up to Idaho this past couple of days to visit Great Grandma Jane and Great Aunt Velma. It was my first plane ride, and I really had a good time.
Grandpa & Grandma Stout flew us up to Boise Idaho, along with Uncle Jason & Aunt Nat. We stayed with Aunt Carrie & Uncle Mike the first night, and then we rented a van and drove up to Riggins the next day.
Mommy took me to many different places that her and Uncle Jason used to go to all the time during their summer days in Idaho, such as down below Grandma's house by the river, and to Shorts Bar, the beach that they swam at most everyday. We also went to visit Great Grandpa Chick and Great Uncle Jim at the Riggins Cemetery.
On the way back to Boise from Riggins, we stopped at McCall for a quick break at another beach that they used to play at. We didn't stay too long, cause it was trying to snow on us and was freezing!
Mommy and I had a lot of fun seeing all of our family and playing cars with my cousin Nick. We are really grateful to Grandpa & Grandma Stout for making this fun trip possible!

Mommy & I went to check out the flowers today here in Vernal at the Court House. The flowers and the trees were so pretty! I am so excited that it's finally nice enough to start playing outside! Mommy also took me over to play at the playground as a treat for me since I was such a good boy and let her take a bunch of pictures. I went on the merry go round with some little buddies that I made at the park. It was so much fun!

My New Lawn Mower

Father Forgets

FATHER FORGETS

condensed as in "Readers Digest"

Listen, son: I am saying this as you lie asleep, one little
paw crumpled under your cheek and the blond curls stickily
wet on your damp forehead. I have stolen into your room alone.
Just a few minutes ago, as I sat reading my paper in the
library, a stifling wave of remorse swept over me. Guiltily
I came to your bedside.

There are the things I was thinking, son: I had been cross
to you. I scolded you as you were dressing for school because
you gave your face merely a dab with a towel. I took you to
task for not cleaning your shoes. I called out angrily when
you threw some of your things on the floor.

At breakfast I found fault, too. You spilled things. You
gulped down your food. You put your elbows on the table. You
spread butter too thick on your bread. And as you started off
to play and I made for my train, you turned and waved a hand
and called, "Goodbye, Daddy!" and I frowned, and said in
reply, "Hold your shoulders back!"

Then it began all over again in the late afternoon. As I came
up the road I spied you, down on your knees, playing marbles.
There were holes in your stockings. I humiliated you before
your boyfriends by marching you ahead of me to the house.
Stockings were expensive-and if you had to buy them you would
be more careful! Imagine that, son, from a father!

Do you remember, later, when I was reading in the library, how
you came in timidly, with a sort of hurt look in your eyes?
When I glanced up over my paper, impatient at the interruption,
you hesitated at the door. "What is it you want?" I snapped.

You said nothing, but ran across in one tempestuous plunge,
and threw your arms around my neck and kissed me, and your
small arms tightended with an affection that God had set
blooming in your heart and which even neglect could not wither.
And then you were gone, pattering up the stairs.

Well, son, it was shortly afterwards that my paper slipped
from my hands and a terrible sickening fear came over me. What
has habit been doing to me? The habit of finding fault, of
reprimanding-this was my reward to you for being a boy. It
was not that I did not love you; it was that I expected too
much of youth. I was measuring you by the yardstick of my own
years.

And there was so much that was good and fine and true in your
character. The little heart of you was as big as the dawn
itself over the wide hills. This was shown by your spontaneous
impulse to rush in and kiss me good night. Nothing else matters
tonight, son. I have come to your bedside in the darkness, and
I have knelt there, ashamed!

It is feeble atonement; I know you would not understand these
things if I told them to you during your waking hours. But
tomorrow I will be a real daddy! I will chum with you, and suffer

I had another fun day today. We took our friend Miss Elaine to the Temple this morning, and then took a drive up Dry Fork Canyon to see if Spring had sprung. It's still pretty dry up there, so I was able to play in the creek bed for awhile. Then we took a trip back down to Remember the Maine park and played for awhile. We were also able to visit with our good friends Deb and Hayden. We then went and picked up Miss Elaine from the Temple, and while we were waiting, took some pictures of their beautiful flowers. Miss Elaine took us to lunch at Betty's Cafe here in town, and now, after all of that, is finally quiet time...;0)

Conner's Drive Thru Order

So Conner and I went to Jensen park today for something new to look at. He found what he thought was an intercom at the park to take food orders. He started hollering into this thing that he wanted a "cheeseburger, french fry coke, and a chocolate shake. And that be all". I was cracking up so hard! That's when you know that you take your child through the drive thru entirely too much! ;0)

My Great Grandma Judy brought me a Zoo Keeper's Outfit from her visit to the San Diego Zoo last year. I had so much fun playing in it today! I tried to wear my glasses that went with it, but they were still a little bit too big for me. Momma took me for a walk and took some pictures of me wearing my outfit. I hope I still fit in my outfit for Halloween!

Garbage Day

Conner is such a funny little boy. He loves to watch the garbage truck every Thursday morning as it goes up and down the street picking up the trash cans. We have to go and sit on the porch as the truck rolls by. Well, this morning we were running a little bit late with our morning routine, so Conner was in the bath when we heard the garbage truck coming up the street. He got excited and started yelling "Garbage Truck Momma!" I told him to hurry and we would go and see it. I pulled him out of the tub, wrapped him in a towel, and turned my back to get his clothes. Wouldn't you know it, he ran right into the living room, unwrapped his towel, opened the front door, and was standing there stark naked as the garbage truck driver pulled up to the house! I'm sure that was not what they were expecting to see this morning on the usual route! He thought he was pretty funny though, that's for sure!

Our trip to Miss Alice's Farm

Our good friend Miss Elaine took mommy & me out to her friend Alice's farm in Ouray. I was able to feed a baby goat, & pet all the baby lambs and goats. I was also able to brush and sit on top of a cow named Bubba. Miss Alice let me sit on her lap and taught me how to use all the levers on her tractor to feed the cows. I had such a fun time!

Today I spent the day with Grandma & Grandpa Hazel, Aunt Penny, and Great Grandma Judy. They brought me lots of fun gifts for Easter! We played with a cool bubble maker, some trucks, and went to Don Pedros for lunch. It was so yummy!

I had such a great Easter morning! I woke up and found a basket full of goodies that the Easter Bunny left for me, and then I went outside with Momma & Papa and went to find the Easter eggs that the Easter Bunny left for me. The Easter Bunny left me lots of candy, snakes, bugs, and frogs. He must really know what I like to play with!

Today I had an Easter Party with all of my buddies. The Easter Bunny even showed up and gave us some treats! We hunted Easter eggs, & I played outside in the dirt and on the cool swingset that my buddy Patrick has in his back yard. I was so tired when I got home last night!

Easter Egg Hunt

Today I went to an Easter Egg Hunt with my buddies from the Vernal MOMS Playgroup. It was really windy, and I started to cry and ask for my Mommy at one point, but I still had a lot of fun looking for eggs and riding my bike!

Botanical Gardens

Mommy also took me to the Botanical Gardens last week in Grand Junction. The green houses were awesome! I saw some turtles, some cool fish, and some pretty flowers.

Dinosaur Museum

Mommy took me to the dinosaur museum last week in Grand Junction. We also brought along my cousin Carter and Aunt Heather to join in the fun! I really enjoyed most of the dinosaurs, except for the T-Rex at the front of the museum. He had bitten the head off of another dinosaur and was shaking his head back and forth and roaring really loud! I didn't cry cause I'm a big boy, but it sure scared me alot!

This is my Grandpa & Grandma Stout, and me and my Uncle Jason. Mommy took me down a couple of weeks ago to Salt Lake City to visit them. We had a lot of fun! They took us to the Fish Aquarium and to the Zoo.

I was born on November 29th @ 3:40 p.m. @ Ashley Valley Medical Center in Vernal, Utah.
I weighed 8lbs. 14.3 oz and was 22" long!
